November at Umang Foundation: A Month of Celebration, Creativity, and Empowerment

November was a month of creativity, learning, and celebration at Umang Foundation. The month kicked off with exciting art workshops, including ice stick bookmarks and Warli painting, where students explored their artistic skills and cultural heritage. The Children’s Day fun fair brought joy and laughter, with various games and activities that united students, teachers, and volunteers. In addition, the month featured a range of educational and therapeutic sessions that sparked curiosity and supported personal growth. November truly highlighted Umang’s commitment to fostering creativity, learning, and a strong sense of community.​

October 2024

October at Umang Foundation: A Month of Celebration, Creativity, and Empowerment

​October was an enriching and eventful month at Umang Foundation. The month commenced with the Aavishkar event, where students had the opportunity to present their innovative projects and showcase their unique talents. Diwali celebrations followed, marked by engaging activities such as card-making, diya decorating, and lantern crafting, bringing creativity and festive cheer to the center. Additionally, a meaningful menstrual health and hygiene awareness session was conducted, aimed at equipping students with essential knowledge on the subject. The month concluded with a memorable gathering over a burger party, offering students a joyful experience and fostering camaraderie. October was indeed a period of growth, celebration, and community building.

September at Umang Foundation: A Month of Learning, Growth, and Empowerment

September at Umang Foundation was marked by meaningful activities and engaging learning experiences. The month featured a menstrual health and hygiene awareness session, providing students with essential knowledge and sanitary supplies to support their well-being. Our learning center also introduced creative projects, including a hands-on exploration of the solar system where students crafted models of planets, fostering both curiosity and understanding of science. Additionally, students enjoyed regular sessions focused on dance, yoga, and academic support, which enhanced their physical, creative, and educational growth. September was a month dedicated to empowerment, creativity, and holistic development.

September at Umang Foundation: A Month of Learning, Growth, and Empowerment

The Umang Foundations Trust conducted various initiatives for underprivileged students and communities. Their "Back to School" project provided essential resources, while emotional intelligence sessions helped students manage emotions. A paper bag-making activity promoted sustainability and creativity. Storytelling sessions, math classes, and celebrations like Guru Purnima and Friendship Day fostered learning, creativity, and community bonding.

Umang Foundation Trust also participated in the Aashayein event, where students showcased their talents and won prizes in sports and dance. Furthermore, they organized a comprehensive menstrual health and hygiene session, distributing sanitary pads to support dignity and hygiene.

These initiatives demonstrate Umang Foundation Trust's commitment to education, empowerment, and community development, aiming to create a positive impact on the lives of underprivileged individuals.

June 2024

June 2024: Creativity, Wellness, Empowerment, and Community Engagement

In June 2024, Umang Learning Center embraced creativity, sustainability, and wellness through a series of impactful activities. The month began with a storytelling session, where older students became storytellers, captivating younger peers with adventurous tales, enhancing their speaking and expression skills. World Environment Day was marked by a beach cleanup and upcycling activities, promoting environmental responsibility. The month also celebrated International Yoga Day with a session focused on physical and mental well-being. International Music Day brought renowned artists to inspire students, and music education initiatives nurtured young talents. The center continued its commitment to promoting menstrual hygiene, distributing sanitary products to women and girls in the Chawl area. Additionally, the Manpravah Foundation session empowered children through creativity, kindness, and teamwork

May 2024

May 2024: Empowerment, Education, and Environmental Care at Umang Foundation Trust

May was a month filled with creativity, learning, and community engagement at Umang Foundation Trust. The 13-day summer camp from May 6th to 18th included activities like the Plantation Drive, Poster Making, Sports Day, and Best out of Waste projects, empowering students with creative and practical skills. The camp concluded with a Grand Finale, celebrating students’ efforts.

World Menstrual Hygiene Day was observed through sanitary pad distributions and a session at the learning center to raise awareness. Additionally, a beach cleanup at Mahim Beach, in collaboration with Muskurate Raho, highlighted environmental responsibility.

The month also featured an emotional counseling session with the Aditya Birla Education Trust and Tribe’s Digital Learning Session, where children explored communication evolution. It was a month of empowerment, education, and environmental care.

April 2024

April 2024: Empowerment, Education, and Environmental Stewardship

In April, Umang Foundation Trust focused on education, empowerment, and environmental sustainability. The "Pathshala" project in Malad Malvani engaged over 30 children in crafting piggy banks from recycled bottles, teaching financial literacy. At the Learning Center, kids created windmills to learn about sustainable energy.

The foundation also partnered with Rubaroo to raise awareness about child sexual abuse, offering sessions for both parents and children, along with counseling for those impacted by abuse. On World Earth Day, Umang collaborated with Muskurate Raho for a "Plants Restoration Drive," restoring 200 plants near Aaray forest. Additionally, on April 29th, Umang continued its menstrual hygiene initiative, distributing sanitary pads in the community while educating women and girls about menstrual health.

March 2024

March Highlights: Empowering Education, Health, and Community Engagement

In March, Umang Foundation Trust engaged in various impactful initiatives that focused on education, empowerment, and well-being. A notable event was the corporate visit and learning experience at Equinox Business Park and Altas Skilltech University, where students gained exposure to the corporate world and higher education, broadening their career perspectives. During Women's Day week, the Trust distributed sanitary pads and handmade cards to women in the Chawl area, promoting menstrual health and empowerment. Additionally, a session on menstrual health and hygiene was conducted at Matoshree Vidya Mandir, alongside a broader conversation on women’s empowerment and future careers, with support from Wood Mackenzie India Pvt Ltd. Umang also participated in Mann Ka Mela, offering a wide range of activities that sparked creativity and learning among students. Furthermore, the Trust was part of Aaroya’24, providing free health check-ups and consultations on health awareness, including female reproductive health. These efforts collectively supported the community by fostering education, well-being, and empowerment for both students and women

Empowering Growth, Creativity, and Sustainability: February Highlights at Umang Foundation Trust

In February, Umang Foundation Trust organized a series of impactful activities and sessions. These included Art Therapy, a Valentine’s Day celebration with handmade card crafting, an SSC Board exam counseling session to guide students for academic success, and a birthday celebration filled with joy and community spirit. The trust also focused on sustainability through a Product Stall at the Farmer's Market, promoting eco-friendly practices while supporting children’s education. Additionally, the ongoing menstrual health initiatives provided essential resources and empowerment, creating an environment of growth, love, and learning

January 2024

January Highlights: Empowering Education, Health, and Creativity at Umang Foundation Trust

In January, Umang Foundation Trust organized a variety of enriching activities aimed at education, health, creativity, and sustainability. English classes at Mulinchi Samarth Vidyalay were conducted to strengthen communication skills, while a Makar Sankranti celebration brought together art, culture, and tradition. At Umang Learning Center, students engaged in creative learning through arts, crafts, and educational workshops. The trust also hosted a healthcare camp in collaboration with Kshamata from NMIMS College, focusing on children's health and menstrual hygiene. Sustainability efforts were supported through a Product Stall at the Farmer's Market, promoting eco-friendly products made by children and volunteers. Republic Day was celebrated with pride, both at Zilla Parishad School in Shahpur and Umang Learning Center, with performances, flag-making, and awareness of India's heritage
